RM of Cote’s story
The Rural Municipality of Cote No. 271 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 12, 1910. It lies in east-central Saskatchewan and surrounds the town of Kamsack and the village of Togo, and the RM's office is in Kamsack.
Within its boundaries are the organized hamlet of Runnymede and the localities of Cote, Kamsack Beach and Ministik Beach.
Today the RM is known for the outdoor and heritage attractions found in and around it, including Duck Mountain Provincial Park, Madge Lake, the Shellmouth Reservoir and the Kamsack & District Museum. Several provincial highways and the Canadian National Railway serve the area, and Kamsack Airport is nearby. A council and an appointed administrator run the municipality, meeting on the second Wednesday of each month.
